We are grateful to have had Michele Rigert as a friend and artist in the Artist’s Greenhouse Sale from the beginning so many years ago. Sadly, Michele Rigert passed away on January 24, 2024. Michele was known for her Asian-influenced pottery and watercolors. Many years of drawing close-up views of the flowers and plants which abound in the Pacific Northwest had strongly influenced the shapes and lines found in her porcelain vessels. She created controlled ceramic shapes, which move forcefully into altered sculptured vessels. She was creative, inventive, and scientific. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to her passions, leaving behind a remarkable collection of artwork. We are honored to have a small collection of Michele’s work available for purchase at this year’s Artist Greenhouse Sale.
