Glass | Jewelry | Sculptures

My work is various forms of glass, fused in a kiln between about 1300 and 1500 degrees. Each
firing in a large kiln may take about 20 hours. Glass art is both exciting and a challenge to
create. I love doing birds and animals, both whimsical and realistic in glass enamels which
require several layers and firings. I've also started working a lot with lightly fired glass powders
creating both realistic and abstract textured surfaces and designs with it. Really fun. I’ve done
my dichroic jewelry for over 30 years now...each piece is one of a kind, often with a textured
surface that I create myself and artwork I add via acid etching, grinding with a diamond bur, and
other means. I have also been an active member of our wonderful Local 14 Art Show for over
30 years too!
