Deb Morgan creates her art from her home in Portland. She uses molds, patterns, and hand built forms to make ceramic pieces for the garden and home. Many of her pieces are “totems”, which in this case means stacked forms. The larger pieces are stacked on rebar, which has been pounded into the ground. Smaller totems are one piece and are great placed in a planter, on a table, or on the ground. All totems are made from medium fire clay and glazes and have proven to survive the Portland winters. She enjoys having the accents in her yard and her friends have also expressed pleasure in their purchases. In addition to totems, she makes pieces for use as tissue holders, flowers, urns, or appreciated for art.
